I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE AND I BRING YOU.....

This, the famous intro of the song "fire" by Arthur Brown from the Album "The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown". The man as crazy as the album's title, made his career in the 60's: the golden age of the sex, drugs and rock & roll. Brown studied Philosophy and  Laws but somehow he ended up shouting with makeup on his face and belly, a robe and a ridiculously awesome helmet he'd usually set on fire. 
 

Now the helmet did burnt Brown's head and back several times but that never stopped his crazy ass from crawling back to the stage. His act was  as cool as it was dangerous, and the final accessory  was a sheet metal suit with his usual helmet. This actually cost him a tour with the greatest man alive at that time, Jimi Hendrix!!! Actually Arthur Brown did met Jimi Hendrix, Hendrix offered him to make an act together, can you believe it??  I don't know what was this guy thinking i would have shouted yes as hard as i can before Jimi ended the sentence.

because his fame was kinda flashy, he retreated to Great Britain and next thing he knows Jimi made the band of gypsies because the experience was "blowing their minds". After Britain Brown moved back to Austin Texas and got a master's in counseling. I know man, WTF? Imagine being counseled by this guy













I'd rather stay kinky and crazy that get in a room with a guy that likes putting burning objects in his head, but don't worry actually he ain't counseling anymore. Brown's back to the showbiz, older and with less hair but still has the energy of a crazy goat on acid. Don't worry Arthur because at the end you got your justice and recognition, the media has been paying more attention to Arthur Brown and  he's having as much tours as before.  Every once in awhile I'll be posting great movies (to my eyes) and since this is the first post i'll introduce The Boat That Rocked, it puts you on a pirate sea radio station in the 60's, where you can hear a fragment of Arthur Brown's fire and many more like the box tops, the turtles, the yardbirds etc. so if you're a 60's kinda guys you won't like it, you'll shit yourself!! I'd leave an image about the tremendous movie but this crappy blog site doesn't let me put more of my rubbish so its a goodbye for today!!! excuse the language but it's my first time!!!!!
